Weekly contact improvisation jam at Maatalo Mahdollisuuksien Talo.
Facilitated warm-up for about 30 minutes after which we will jam and integrate what we have learn for about another 30 min. After that we Weill have another session of learning new skills for about half an hour. The rest of the time there will be an open jam until 6.30pm.
Voluntary donation for the space 3-5 euros.
Contact improvisation or CI is a form of dance and physical improvisation. It is a way to explore with gravity & receiving and giving weight with one or more people. CI focuses on dance encounters through movement and touch. Contact improvisation involves playfulness, freedom to experiment and to fail. CI may have music or take place in silence.
Jams and classes have an open level: beginners and more experienced dancers share the same space.
